I am often asked my many people how they can help increase traffic to their Websites. The 1st thing I ask them back is, “Why do you want more Traffic? What is the purpose of your Website? How will getting Traffic benefit you?” You’d be surprised to know how many people don’t know how to benefit from more traffic to their site, and yet here they are wanting to know How To Increase Traffic To Website.

So, first things first – make sure you have a goal and purpose}! Usually this purpose is getting a little Moolah from your Website. Whether it be Google Adwords, Commission Junction or another Affiliate Program, Traffic to your Website is really nothing but a boost to the Ego unless you have it Monetized in some way.

Second, what are you selling/advertising/recommending? Before you target the traffic you want you need to know what you will be selling and be aware of your competition. This is important when it comes to finding a Keyword to market. When choosing Keywords, you will want to look for low competition, high converting ones. I personally use a Money Keyword Research tool such as Keyword Corral.

Once you have chosen your Keyword and are confident that it will make you money, you can start to Market it to Search Engines. A great technique for this is Ezine Marketing. Write, or have written for you, Articles that are Keyword rich in both Title and Content, then proceed to submit these Articles to sites such as Ezine Articles. In your Personal Author resource box place a link to your Website using your Keywords as Anchor Text.

Another thing I tell people who ask me how to Increase Web Site Targeted Traffic is that they should use RSS Feed Marketing. RSS feeds are an excellent way to get your content syndicated to other Websites. Visitors can also choose to subscribe to your Website’s RSS feed if they find it interesting.

Which leads me to my next point… Make sure you have a site with high quality content. Remember, your visitors consist of actual people who come to your site for a purpose. Know that reason and be sure you update your content frequently and give your readers valuable information. Never underestimate the power of content. Remember, “If you build it, they will come”.

Last, but not least, look into joining an SEO, SEM, or other Internet Marketing program. Sure they may cost a little, but so does any sort of Education. The tools they will give you and the lessons they will teach you can be priceless, especially if you are serious about making money on the Internet.
