If your ipod is not turning ON then you have to look out the reason behind it. You have to watch if the hold switch is ON or not. Reset it to get it unlocked if you find it in the locked position. You have to know replace iPod battery. In order to charge your battery you have to plug it into a power adapter. You have to restore the latest version of software updater to match it with your ipod model. If your iPod does not get fix to your computer or take a charge then its battery may be destroyed. If you are using the iPod long time back then the iPod battery may be dead.

You have to make it clear that iPod is plugged into a high power USB 2.0 port. The iPod won’t run if plugged into a low USB port. The battery may be damaged if the computer remains in stand by position. You can use alternative USB port or charge the battery from a USB charger. Try another USB cable if the ipod still does not come in running condition.

If you cannot download the songs of latest version of iTunes then you have to buy a latest version iPod. iPod software should get updated every month as it becomes outdated. If your head phones do not work then connect it to any other 3.5 mm stereo head phone jack. You have to replace it if does not work any more.

If your iPod is under warranty period then replace it for a new iPod. If problem arises regarding hardware of iPod then you have to go to service centre. You have to know its serial number and purchase date if you want to get the servicing of the ipod.
